MINISTRY
Our calling is to glorify God in all things and to be faithful to the Lord as we seek to build Christ's kingdom in the North Shore area of Chicago and around the world. We are a worshipping and praying community, a people who believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God and are committed to living its truths. Our desire is to cultivate authentic, loving relationships and to share in joyful fellowship. Winnetka Bible Church is vibrantly evangelical, seeking to live out our clear and Biblical foundations and the vision for our future to which God has called us. In addition to strong Biblical teaching on Sundays, we emphasize worship through Christ-exalting music – blending traditional and newer styles. Worship at WBC includes Scripture reading, personal testimonies, and opportunities for all persons to be engaged in the adoration of God! We offer a wide range of Sunday School classes and Adult Bible Fellowships, as well as AWANA, Mom-to-Mom Ministry, Bible studies for men and women, a Wednesday night prayer meeting, and Junior High and Senior High youth ministries. Throughout the year, we feature an Annual Missions Week, Vacation Bible School, Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, men’s breakfasts, and service projects impacting Chicagoland and beyond.
Winnetka Bible Church has a long and steadfast history of strong support for missions, which began by sending Florence Drew to China in 1908. Nearly a quarter of our current budget supports 59 current and retired missionaries serving all over the world. Our desire is to not only support affiliated missionaries, but to cultivate and send more of our own to the field. In fact, nearly 50% of our missionaries have attended or are members of Winnetka Bible Church.
