GOVERNANCE

Winnetka Bible Church is governed by the Active Members of our church. Certain authority and responsibility is delegated to the Senior Pastor, the Elders, and the Officers of our church according to Winnetka Bible Church’s Bylaws. In addition to the Senior Pastor, the WBC Elders are 9 to 13 men who serve staggered three-year terms. The Elders’ functions and responsibilities include providing spiritual leadership, vision, and prayerful Biblical direction to the shepherding, teaching, and equipping ministries of the church. The Elders also represent the congregation in overseeing and managing the business and legal affairs of the church.

Nine councils and committees are responsible for various functions and activities of the church, including: Administration, Facilities, Children's Christian Education, Adult Christian Education, Evangelism, Compassion and Outreach, Fellowship Ministries, Worship and Music, and Missions. The Senior Pastor is an ex-officio member of all church councils.
